Alts is ice hockey played for fun. It's mixed, and aimed at beginners to intermediates. We play non-contact so there's no aggressive body-checking, and use an extra-light puck. This means you can play ice hockey without needing to buy expensive padding! (We also provide helmets and gloves for goalkeepers just in case).

Alts is one of the most informal sports in Oxford. You just show up on the night, join a team of six (or bring your own!), and play ice hockey.

Welcome back to a brand new year of Alternatives!
After a bit of a rocky start with our two nights (over 240 people in one week - phew!) everything seems to be balancing out. More hockey for everyone! Come on down on Wednesday night at the earlier time of  11:30 pm if you're intermediate and on Fridays at 11:40 pm if you're a beginner.
